CISM · CISA · CSA · CAD · CIS-VR · Sr. Staff Cybersecurity Professional at a Fortune 500. The instructor behind CyberSec Pro Academy.
I started in 2002 at $48K answering phones on a help desk. I got kicked out of college for a semester for grades under a 2.0. I failed the CISSP the first time. I got laid off once. I figured it out — one cert at a time, one role at a time — and ended up as a Sr. Staff Cybersecurity Professional at a Fortune 500.
I've spent years mentoring cybersecurity students through bootcamps — 200+ of them. I know the 4 things that determine whether someone gets hired. I know why 84% of employer-sponsored students fail. And I built this program around everything that actually works.
This isn't a course built by a content team. It's built by someone who has read every resume, watched every interview, and seen every mistake — and who is available to work through yours with you directly.
CyberSec Pro Academy was born from a mission that began more than two decades ago, when Bon volunteered with ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) — teaching computer skills to children in underserved communities in the Philippines. That early work revealed a truth that still drives us today.
We exist to make world-class cybersecurity education accessible to learners who have been historically left out of tech — including women, people of color, veterans, career changers, and students from low-income backgrounds — so the people defending our digital future reflect the full diversity of the communities they protect.
